Japanese couple robbed in Tamuning

Guam - The Guam Police Department's looking for two individuals who robbed a Japanese couple in Tamuning early this morning. GPD acting spokesperson Sgt. Elizabeth Flickenger says the couple was walking along Farenholt drive from the Oka Payless towards the Sheraton hotel at 3 am when a pickup truck pulled up beside them. The first suspect only described as a male individual grabbed one of the victim's handbag from behind, while the second suspect grabbed a purse from the female victim. A struggle ensued and the male victim even chased the suspects. Police say the victim fell to the ground and suffered head injuries and complained of body pains. Both victims were treated and released from the Guam Memorial Hospital. The victims were not able to get detailed descriptions of their assailants.
