Swimmer found dead near Ritidian Beach

Guam – The body of a male minor was recovered after he went missing in the waters off Ritidian beach Saturday afternoon. Guam Fire Department spokesperson Lt. Ed Artero says the emergency all initially came in around 2:42 pm reporting three distressed swimmers, but when rescue officials arrived three people were safely on shore and a lone victim was still missing at sea. 

GFD, Guam police, Coast Guard and Andersen Air Force Base Fire personnel combed the area and waters nearby for nearly three hours. Artero says rescue divers recovered the unidentified victims' body just before 5:30 pm. Authorities have not released further details to this developing story.

An autopsy will likely be conducted Monday afternoon on the victim to determine how he died.
