Guam – The U.S. Department of Justice awarded the Attorney General of Guam $404,688 to enhance crime victim services on Guam. The award is part of the crime act victim assistance fund that will be competitively awarded to local community based organizations that provide direct services to crime victims. This formula grant will support services such as emergency shelter, crisis intervention, counseling and assistance in participating in the criminal justice system.

Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo made the announcement today. She states, "The grant received today will help various community organizations provide direct assistance to victims of crime, including victims of child abuse, sexual assault and domestic violence."
