Guam - Former Untalan Middle School basketball coach Christopher Leon Guerrero pled guilty to sexually molesting a male minor in the Superior Court of Guam this afternoon. The alleged molestation started a decade ago when the victim was only seven years old, and it was only in February last year the victim came forward stating he regrets what happened.

Leon Guerrero, 30, pled guilty to two counts of 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct and faces anywhere between three to twenty years in prison. He will be sentenced on September 19.

In the meantime, Department of Education deputy administrator Rob Malay says this is another indicator that the agency doesn't take the well-being of the students lightly, respective of whether it's during the regular school day or after school activities, such as interscholastic sports.
