Guam - Former Department of Corrections officer Aric Garcia will no longer go to trial after pleading guilty to charges of advanced stalking and violating a court order. Garcia was arrested last year for allegedly violating a restraining order against him.

He was arrested several times before for family violence, assault and drug charges. The court accepted Garcia's agreement that is being deferred in line with the family violence statute. This means if he completes a one-year counseling program, and stays away from the victim, then his record will be expunged.
