Guam - Despite some reservation, acting Governor Ray Tenorio signed Bill 437 into law this afternoon. The legislation was authored by Sens. Judi Guthertz, Aline Yamashita, and Rory Respicio. The measure contains several provisions that will help implement the Governor's education reform plan.  Bill 437 also provides authority for financing the renovation of public schools, purchasing new school buses, and several other education-related measures.  According to a press release from Adelup,  Bill 437' passage by the legislature brought one of the single-largest education facilities solutions to the table in a bi-partisan spirit, where senators worked closely with the Executive Branch as well.  The acting Governor said he will outline his technical problems with the measure in a letter to the Legislature at later time.
