Guam - While congressional delegate candidates Karlo Dizon and Senator Frank Blas, Jr. Junior have agreed to participate in debates about important issues facing the island, Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo is standing by her decision not to participate. Bordallo campaign co-chairman Clifford Guzman tells KUAM News that the congresswoman has made it a policy not to engage in debates with members of her party.

Meanwhile, the Bordallo camp was surprised to hear that former governor Carl Gutierrez is still considering the possibility of throwing his hat into the delegate race. Guzman said it was their understanding that Gutierrez was not going to run for delegate after the former running mates agreed that Bordallo would send a letter to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, calling for an investigation of the 2010 election.

On Wednesday Gutierrez agreed to drop his lawsuit challenging the last election saying he ran out of money to continue the litigation.
