Guam - Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo is set to promote Guam in front of over 100 dignitaries and officials from the Chinese tourism industry as the guest speaker at the 8th Annual International Forum on Chinese Outbound Tourism in Beijing.

Bordallo is accompanying a delegation consisting of Guam Visitors Bureau management and staff who set out to not only promote Guam, but to have face-to-face discussions with the China National Tourism Administration on issues such as outbound travel and building business relationships.

The trip meanwhile allows Bordallo to see firsthand the initiatives GVB has made in terms of the China Visa Waiver Program, saying, "The interagency process on the China Visa Waiver Program continues with a renewed focus in resolving outstanding issues, and I am confident that Guam will see a positive outcome in the coming weeks."

The delegation will also make a courtesy call to the U.S. Embassy.
