Guam - The military is waiting on some laboratory results but the death of Navy diver Ryan Bennett has been ruled as asphyxia due to drowning.  The 20-year-old was snorkeling at Haputo Beach earlier this month when he died.

Medical examiner Dr. Aurelio Espinola says the military flew a forensic pathologist to Guam to conduct the autopsy. There was speculation that he may have gone into shock from being stung by something in the water but the autopsy results didn't prove that.

Bennett was assigned to the USS Frank Cable.
