Guam - School may be out for most students, but here's some news for parents wanting to send their child to summer school this year. The Department of Education acting deputy superintendent for curriculum and instructional improvement Michelle Camacho says the summer session will be held from June 18 through July 31.

She said, "We are providing buses, we are currently working on a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Public Works that should be done by the end of the week. We will be serving breakfast in the schools. I need to add that busing is only for elementary and middle schools this year."

She adds each school has a specific program planned. Summer school is students kindergarten thru 8th grade who are two reading, math or language art levels below current grade level, and for high school students needing one credit to graduate.
