Senators to begin session Tuesday

Lawmakers are scheduled to go into session on Tuesday, first to hold a state funeral for former Tamuning commissioner and mayor Alfredo Dungca in the morning, and then in the afternoon to discuss 15 bills and several appointments.

Guam - Lawmakers are scheduled to go into session on Tuesday, first to hold a state funeral for former Tamuning commissioner and mayor Alfredo Dungca in the morning, and then in the afternoon to discuss 15 bills and several appointments.  Among the measures up for discussion is Bill 321, which prohibits secret voting by Government of Guam boards and commissions.

Also, Bill 421 authorizes an appropriation carry over provisions for the Guam Fire Department to utilize for recruitment; and Bill 463 is also up for consideration, as it adopts the Guam Housing Corporation's administrative rules and regulations for the implementation of the First-Time Homeowners Assistance Program.

The state funeral is scheduled for 7:45 Tuesday morning with session scheduled to begin at one o'clock in the afternoon.
