Guam - The Rotaract Club of the Marianas, a Rotary-sponsored service organization for young professionals, will be holdings its general meeting on Memorial Day with Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo as its guest speaker. According to the delegate, the speaking engagement is part of her series of meetings with the island community.

She hopes to provide a progress report of what's happening in Washington, DC, as well as discussing other important issues. She told KUAM News, "All my years in politics, sometimes the young people are never included; and I ask them if they're going to vote, they're not registered, they're not interested, we don't know the issues."

Rotaract is composed of college students and young professions between the ages of 18 and 30 promoting the theme of "Service Above Self". With the help of its sponsoring clubs, Rotaract provides opportunities for service projects, leadership development and professional development.

The meeting is set for Monday, May 28 at 6:30pm at the University of Guam School of Business and Public Administration Building and all are invited.
