Thousands expected at Relay for Life

Guam - Over 10,000 island residents are expected to sport their support for those with cancer as well as remember those lost and fighting against the disease at the annual Relay for Life event set for Friday night.
According to American Cancer Society volunteer Corina Quito, $319,000 has been raised to date but tomorrow's event hopes to cap the goal of $495,000. Quito recommends participants bring an umbrella and wear comfortable clothing. Be advised that parking may be restricted to one-way traffic.
The event kicks off at 7pm Friday at the George Washington High School track in Mangilao with closing ceremonies to be held at 6:30 Saturday morning. For more information, call the American Cancer Society at 477-9451/2.
