Guam - Even in this rainy weather, the Guam Waterworks Authority is continuing its aggressive disconnection campaign on late delinquent accounts. According spokesperson Heidi Ballendorf, GWA normally disconnects between 30-40 customers a day for delinquent and the campaign has stepped up the effort to about 100 a day.

"So even during this storm and this weather we will be out there and disconnecting, and that's if you are about 50 days or more in arrears you will get disconnect," she said.

Ballendorf says the campaign is done about three times a year to keep both residential and commercial accounts current adding that all Government of Guam accounts are up to date. Customers in arrears of 30 days or longer are requested to go directly to the Tumon office and pay their bill in full.
