Guam - The Guam Election Commission's board of directors is scheduled to meet on Wednesday and among the items on their agenda, reviewing a summary of an initiative to legalize bingo. The GEC's legal counsel completed the review of the initiative and drafted a summary that, if approved by the board, will be placed on petitions.

The Guam-Japan Friendship Village, made up of Japanese investors, is pushing for the measure to be placed on the general election ballot.  They are seeking to legalize for profit bingo only at the Guam Greyhound Park.

The commission is set to meet Wednesday afternoon at 4pm.
