Guam - After weeks of rehearsals and preparation a new Miss Guam World has been crowned. In front of a packed to capacity ballroom at the Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort, nine local beauties walked in as contestants but only one took home the crown and the title of Miss World 2012 Guam.

Miss World 2012 Guam Jeneva Borja Bosko of Chalan Pago will now have three months to prepare to compete in the international competition scheduled for August 18 in China. Aside from the crown, Jeneva was awarded Best in Evening Gown, Miss Photogenic and took home the coveted Madeleine Bordallo Beauty with A Purpose Award for raising the most money, out of all the other contestants, for her respective charity- Erica's House.

As for first runner-up Tiara Lizama of Santa Rita she was awarded Best in Swimsuit and Miss Congeniality. Feliciana Tainatongo was named 2nd runner while Christiana Williams took home the title of 3rd runner up.

Ashlory Alvarez Bondoc was awarded the DOCOMO Pacific People's Choice Award, garnering 34% of almost 20,000 online votes from KUAM.com, Facebook and via text messages.

And new to the Miss World Guam Pageant was the competition amongst local artists and fashion designers for native costume. John Cortez was recognized for his winning design which will be worn by our new queen during the international competition.
