NWS Weather Update

According to the National Weather Service the tropical disturbance is centered about 115 miles South-Southeast of Guam near 12.0 degrees north and 145.5 degrees east.

Guam -  According to the National Weather Service the tropical disturbance is centered about 115 miles South-Southeast of Guam near 12.0 degrees north and 145.5 degrees east. The disturbance is expected to move northwest with the center passing southwest of Guam late this afternoon or tonight, as it does scattered showers and thunderstorms will bring locally heavy rain and wind gusts possibly as high as 35 miles per hour to the Marianas through Tuesday night. The disturbance is the subject of a tropical cyclone formation alert issued by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center. This means that the formation of a tropical depression is likely within the next 12-24 hours.
