GPD PIO heading to NZ for assignment

Guam - Guam Police Department spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia will be leaving to New Zealand on Monday.  Balajadia was selected to be the project officer for the Secretariat of the Pacific Island Chiefs of Police. 

Balajadia will be looking at the territories and countries that fall under the organization and the training and needs of each jurisdiction. He told KUAM News, "[I'll also be] tasked with bringing the group closer together and building bridges, and I look forward to that. Also I'm going to be working with the New Zealand commissioner and their PIO office."

The assignment will last between three and six months.
