Guam - Following Thursday's Guam Land Use Commission meeting, commissioners decided to delay any decision on whether to issue a conditional use permit for Providence International Christian Academy in Tamuning. According to GLUC chairman Jay Lather, issues with notice problems were raised specifically with the owner's name not being on the school's sign.

The Commission instead precluded from making an affirmative decision because the notice requirement was "fatally flawed". Lather adds the PICA issue is far from being a done deal because there is a list of other problems such as impacts to the community, traffic flow and concerns from the nearby medical clinics.

As for now, the school will remain open until GLUC meets next month.
