Guam - Public safety oversight chair Senator Adolpho Palacios is requesting the Administration, the Guam Attorney General and U.S. Attorney for Guam and the CNMI investigate the most recent participation of convicted murderers who were placed on work detail at Adelup over the weekend.

DepCor director Jose San Agustin admitted Monday he acted illegally when he allowed inmates Vincent Palomo, Ed Dela Pena and Joaquin Camacho to participate in work release. San Agustin only realized after the fact that the law bans such inmates from the program. "Considering this issue was brought out less than two years ago, a heavy controversy about a convicted murderer working out of Government House and to think that none of the senior staff remember that and then to allow three to work at Adelup, meaning the director should reevaluate the people that give him information," he said.

The three are serving life sentences without parole. Meantime, the AG's Office is working with the Administration on the matter.
