Guam - The proof is in the numbers. Guam's Russian tourism market is on the rise. According to Guam Visitors Bureau marketing officer Gina Kono, numbers are up 300% from last year. "As of April 13, we've had Russians from January; 775 have come to Guam from last year that was only 190. We've had an increase of over 300%. It looks good we're looking at targeting 2,000, but I think we'll surpass that."

Guam representatives are set to participate in the Pacific International Tourism Expo in Vladivostok, Russia from May 25-28. Vice Speaker B.J. Cruz will lead the delegation that will include members of GVB, the Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association, the Guam Economic Development Authority, and various hotel reps.
