Guam - The John F. Kennedy High School gymnasium may be completed, but the Islanders are still waiting to get the green light to use it. Assistant principal Hannah Gutierrez says the gym flooring and bleachers were completed last month, but the facility cannot be used until the island's various regulatory agencies inspect the gym.
Environmental health specialist supervisor Ron Carandang says an inspection is scheduled for next Thursday. Gutierrez says the JFK community is disappointed that there are continued delays with other outstanding projects like the tennis course, baseball and football fields and parking lot.
Those projects are supposed to be completed by next Tuesday.
