Guam - The Guam National Guard recently recognized the soldiers and airmen who returned from deployment in support of overseas contingency operations. A 19-person team from the 254th Security Forces Squadron deployed to Iraq and participated in draw-down operations, as U.S. troops departed the country toward the end of Operation New Dawn.

Two other airmen were augmentees who supported base operations in Southwest Asia, while 64 soldiers with the Saliagao Platoon returned from Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
