SAT-10 testing wraps-up on Friday

Guam - 27,000 students are wrapping up with SAT-10 testing this week. According to Department of Education deputy superintendent for curriculum and instructional improvement, Joe Sanchez, DOE strives for 90% of students to be proficient in language arts, reading, in math by 2013. That isn't the case however as Guam students may be performing better than prior years, but at a slow rate and way below the national average.

Sanchez says he's seeing plenty of teacher initiative to motivate and better prepare students for the standardized tests.

Scores will be released before the start of School Year 2012-2013.
