Guam - With three pending local and federal cases, a judge determined that Jeremiah Santos Isezaki is still a danger to the community. Isezaki appeared in the District Court this morning asking to be released from jail. Defense attorney Alex Modaber argued that his client be released and placed on house arrest with a curfew and submit to random drug testing.
The U.S. Attorney's Office opposed his release, saying the defendant led police on a highspeed chase, is accused of plotting to kill a police officer and has had numerous run-in's with the law for terrorizing, aggravated assault, and theft.
Isezaki was ordered to remain behind bars on the federal charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
