Jayson Song charged with counterfeit printing

Federal charges have been handed down against a man accused of producing counterfeit U.S. Treasury checks.

Guam - Federal charges have been handed down against a man accused of producing counterfeit U.S. Treasury checks. Jayson Song was arrested two weeks ago when he was caught trying to cash a bogus check at Rustan's Foreign Exchange. 

According to court documents, song received a one time educational benefit of $144 from the U.S. Veterans Administration, but allegedly altered the check to try and get $4,144. 

He is charged with counterfeiting obligation or security of the U.S. and attempt to pass or utter counterfeit obligation. He is currently in custody and is scheduled to answer to the charges on Tuesday.
