Guam - No trial for former senator and GFT president Matt Rector who signed a plea agreement contending no contest to the charge of unsworn falsification as a misdemeanor. Rector stood in court today agreeing to the deal. His plea allows for him to enter into diversion for the next year and possible expungement of his case if he follows all court conditions. He was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine plus other court costs. Rector told the court through his attorney that he will make the payment as he plans to go to California this summer. Rector declined comment.
