PICA community meeting tonight
Guam - PICA International Christian Academy in Tamuning may be well on its way to obtaining operational permits from the island's various regulatory agencies. According to PICA co-owner Paula Schmidt, a community meeting is being held as we speak at the Tamuning Mayor's Office.
Neighboring residents are encouraged to voice their opinions on whether the Guam Land Use Commission should issue a conditional use permit for the school. Schmidt says changes have been made to comply with public health regulations, but major changes, like a firewall to divide the upstairs living quarters from the downstairs school, are pending the conditional use permit.
The GLUC is expected to make a final decision on May 3 at 1:30pm.
