Guam - After one month at sea, and with previous stops in Bali, Malaysia, China and Korea, the M/V Sea Princess made its first ever port call to Guam this morning bringing in nearly 3,000 passengers and crew to the island for a one-day visit. And although they've never heard of Guam before, Bob and Suzanne Lawrence from Tazmania, Australia were excited to take in the island culture and do some shopping and sightseeing.

"Just seeing new places, meeting new people and experiencing the different ports and people's customs and it's good," said one visitor, with another saying Guam is, "Very warm, but it looks quite nice and green and I look forward to hitting the shops."

According to the ship's agent, Marianas Steamship Agencies, Inc., the Sea Princess arrived from Japan and is on its way to Papau New Guinea and will then return to Brisbane, Australia on april 13th. Meanwhile, according to the port's website, last year Guam saw seven cruise ships dock here totaling close to 10,000 passengers who had spent anywhere between four hours to over a day here.
