Guam - The Guam Environmental Protection Agency board has yet to meet to discuss what's next for Joseph Taitano for operating a massive illegal dump at his home in Yigo. According to GEPA spokesperson Tammy Jo Anderson Taft, technical issues delayed the administrative penalty voted upon by the board last December, but last month's hearing with Superior Court Judge Elizabeth Barrett-Anderson may have set momentum for the case as it's brought back to the board to be restarted.

She said, "The case will be moving forward obviously we think it's a very strong case; we have lots of evidence and we want to make sure something like this doesn't happen again. It's up to the board to decide when to meet if they're going to have a special hearing, so the board acts as its own entity so its up to them to decide what they want to do next."

The GEPA board is set to have a regular meeting on April 19, but it's not confirmed whether the Taitano case will be on the agenda.
