SSHS Class of '02, Benson make donation

Guam - Simon Sanchez High School got a generous donation from the Sharks Class of 2002 and Benson Hardware Thursday morning. The class who celebrated its ten-year reunion took the extra $350 raised to make the donation, and according to SSHS alumnus Dondi Quintas, they were able to get more through the help of one local business.

School librarian Sudi Napalan says the donation will help to make long overdue renovations to the library, telling KUAM News, "This donation will be a start in improving our school library and there are many more projects that we are hoping to do but I am really grateful for the Class of 2002 for donating this much money."

She added, "This was a year's worth of planning in planning our reunion and then getting the community and organizations to help with the reunion and our fund, after our reunion we approached Benson Hardware to match what we were able to come up with."
