Guam - The trial of a group of individuals who allegedly were involved in a major drug-trafficking ring on Guam has been pushed back until October.  Mateo Sardoma Jr, Rudy Sablan, Maria Edrosa, Anthony Villanueva and Joseph Caballero remain behind bars awaiting trial.  The court recently held a hearing to continue next months' trial finding that the ends of justice are served by granting a continuance.

The court also granted the prosecution's request to delay turning over grand jury transcripts and other documents related to the case until august. As we reported the feds expressed concern about the safety of cooperating witnesses in the case.

The trial is set to begin on October 2.
