Young Sharks learn about healthcare

Guam - The Simon Sanchez High School Sharks hosted their annual Healthcare Fair on Wednesday. According to registered nurse and Guam Community College allied health instructor Karen Dumchus, the event is student-driven and included a panel discussion with members of the Department of Public Health on suicide, drugs, smoking, and sexually-transmitted diseases.

"They do have the power to find out this information, where to get the information from that there are organizations out there that will help them," she explained.

Allied health students were also onsite to conduct blood pressure and body mass index readings.
