Guam - A police officer who arrested Captain Mark Charfauros last month has been terminated from the force. The Guam Police Department would only say that final adverse action was served on an employee this afternoon.

KUAM News, however, has confirmed that Officer Troy Anciano was fired today for insubordination and an appeal has been initiated at the Civil Service Commission. Anciano arrested Captain Charfauros for soliciting a police officer to commit assault. Charfauros was charged for the crime and is awaiting a judge to be assigned the case.  Anciano is accused of being insubordinate and refusing to stand down and not effectuate the arrest.

Anciano meanwhile is the same officer who is being sued by local businessman James Adkins, who is alleging that officers violated his civil rights when they arrested him for taking photos of a car crash near his home.
