Cameron Reportedly Begins Ascent

Guam - Short of the estimated six hours he was scheduled to spend at the bottom of Challenger Deep in the Marianas Trench, Paul Allen tweets that James Cameron has begun his ascent. "@PaulGAllen: #deepseachallenge sub started return to the surface after a successfull dive welcome back to sea level soon!". Allen is the co-founder of Microsoft. He and his megayacht, Octopus, pulled into Apra Harbor last week to refuel and get supplies. They left Guam Saturday and joined the Mermaid Sapphire and Cameron. It will take an estimated two hours to return to sea level.
