Guam - KUAM News may have confirmed that five candidates applied for the Department of Education superintendent position, but only three will be interviewed come March 28. Guam Education Board member Barry Mead said, ""The Search Committee has provided the names of three individuals to the board as a whole to be interviewed for the position of superintendent for the Guam Department of Education." He made a motion to hold those interviews on March 28.

Mead hopes one of these candidates will garner the six-vote minimum to be named the head of GovGuam's largest agency. According to GEB vice chair and superintendent search chairman Paul Pineda, the individuals' names cannot be disclosed.

The board is set to make a vote on April 5.
