Guam - The Guam Police Department is having a hard time moving out of its old headquarters in Tiyan. All of the department has moved out with the exception of the Records & ID section. GPD is currently going through a second request for proposal seeking interested companies who are willing to house the section that generates revenue for the department through various fees.

The department was supposed to have moved out of that area months ago as the airport was getting pressure from the Federal Aviation Administration as the old headquarters are set to be demolished. GPD management says proposals are being accepted at this time and the General Services Agency will review the bids to see if anyone is interested in leasing space to GPD.

While no funding was included in this year's budget, GPD has received assurances from the Calvo Administration that financing will be provided.
