Guam - A Hawaii couple is suing Onward Beach Resort for more than $2,000,000 in damages. Dolores and Rudolfo Gabrillo are suing the resort and Tokio Marine Pacific Insurance Limited, alleging the hotel acted negligently in failing to maintain its premises. According to the complaint (filed in the District Court), on September 30, 2010, Dolores Gabrillo slipped and fell at the entrance of the Onward water park and fractured her ribs.
The couple claim algae had grown on the walkway and the hotel did nothing to maintain the walkway or ensure the area was cordoned off to protect patrons from injury.
