Guam - Despite chronic air conditioning problems and overcrowded conditions, George Washington High School principal Begona Flores is confident the Home of the Geckos is making the grade. A team from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges is reviewing the school this week as it seeks validation of its six-year accreditation.

"GW is a very good school and I have never hesitated to say that," boasted Flores. "And why GW is a very good school? The teachers and primarily the students make GW what it is."

WASC is scheduled to provide an exit report tomorrow afternoon.
