17th MCES gets underway Wednesday

Over at the Sheraton in Tamuning, preparations are underway for tomorrow's opening day of the 17th Micronesian Chief Executives' Summit.

Guam - Over at the Sheraton in Tamuning, preparations are underway for tomorrow's opening day of the 17th Micronesian Chief Executives' Summit. The conference will start with a change of chairmanship.  Kosrae Governor Lyndon Johnson will turn over leadership to Governor Eddie Calvo.

Leaders from across the region will then give opening remarks. The summit provides an important opportunity for leaders to come together to discuss issues facing the region and develop strategies to help improve the quality of life of citizens throughout Micronesia.
