Calvo proclaims Fire Service Recognition Week

Guam - Acknowledging them for the continuous public service provided to the community, Governor Eddie Calvo signed a proclamation this morning declaring March 11-17 as Fire Service Recognition Week. Guam Fire Department firefighters along with their federal counterparts attended today's signing event.

GFD firefighters were also recognized by the organization for the outstanding performance this past year. Calvo also proclaimed 2012 the Year of the Girl in celebration of the 100th birthday of the Girl Scouts.
