Guam - From Guam's only public hospital to an update on the island's future private hospital, several new developments are expected to be discussed this evening during the Guam Regional Medical City's community update regarding the private hospital's development namely how the project is still on track to be completed by 2014. According to Guam Healthcare Development, Inc. president and CEO Margaret Bengzon, 90 percent of the drawings are completed with enough detail to submit its designs for the building's permits along with having permits ready for excavation and grading.

She told KUAM News, "Now that construction is underway, it's important that we continue to engage, to address issues, to address concerns, to make people ware of what's going on, to continue to elicit support for the project and you can't engage unless people are informed."

She adds the group will begin installing temporary water lines and is ready to set down its construction office and put down the temporary roadway to transport workers and materials. The community update, which takes place at the Hilton Guam Resport and Spa this evening, is expected to occur once a quarter.
