Guam - The Department of the Interior will be hosting discussions on Compact impact funding and the needs of the island as they provide services for citizens of the Freely Associated States. While very few details of the discussion have been released, we're told that the Interior Assistant Secretary Tony Babauta will lead the talks during the 17th Micronesia Chief Executives Summit.

The event is entitled "Ocean Unites Us" and is an opportunity for regional leaders to discuss critical issues. The summit opens with a dinner on the 13th and two days of discussions on the 14th and 15th at the Sheraton Laguna Resort.
