Guam - Guam Radiology Consultants' contract with TakeCare insurance expires tomorrow, which means TakeCare's members can still obtain services there but they will be consider self-pay patients. TakeCare issued a statement today saying that they have extended a policy-covered airfare benefit to all of its members that covers roundtrip transportation and three days lodging in manila for those who obtain services at St. Luke's Hospital.

Other radiology services are available for TakeCare members on Guam at the FHP Radiology Center and the MDX Imaging Center and Good Samaritan Hospital in California.  Health plan services administrator Jeff Larsen said with GRC being an "out of network provider, TakeCare has put definitive measures and procedures in place to ensure qualified patient expenses for GRC services will be reimbursed on an out-of-network basis."

TakeCare meanwhile continues to negotiate with the Guam Memorial Hospital as the provider seeks to have a direct payer agreement reinstated before March 20.
