Guam - The vote was unanimous in support of Bill 431, but Senator Mana Silva Taijeron now says she won't push for an override should Governor Eddie Calvo decide to veto the legislation. The measure was introduced by Senator Dennis Rodriguez, Jr. as a result of the contract with GGARP/SPIMA was set to expire at the end of February.

The legislation proposed extending the contract until Public Health could issue an RFP. Public Health had signed an MOU with the Mayors Council so that services would not be interrupted.

Senator Taijeron says the MOU has proven to be a practical and fiscally responsible solution to the issue.
