Guam - The Untalan Middle School gym in Barrigada may have received a final occupancy permit by mistake. According to Department of Public Works director Joanne Brown, the permit was a surprise to her because this morning's walkthrough with DPW deputy director Carl Dominguez yielded an incomplete project. Brown is currently looking into the employee who issued the permit.

She told KUAM News, "We have concerns that if DPW did issue an occupancy permit we will have that occupancy permit pulled back today. We're going to call in the appropriate employees at DPW that may have authorized that."

Contractor Loyal Pacific continues to pay the Department of Education liquidation damages of $400 per day for failing to meet the project's deadline at the end of January.
