Guam - A team from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges is on Guam visiting Okkodo High School. According to WASC's Barry Kelly, they're impressed with what they've seen so far.

WASC conducted a pre-visit three years ago and this year's visit is a follow-up to determine if the school will be accredited. Kelly said, "The idea behind it is each school does a self study and they continually study what they are doing in terms of what kids are learning and the idea behind it is we are always trying to move forward and improve the teaching and the learning for the students."

The tour continues this week. He says the team will then provide recommendations based on self study and present findings to the WASC Commission in California to give the school accreditation.
