Public safety bills up for consideration

Guam - The Legislative Committee on Public Safety, Law Enforcement and Judiciary will conduct a public hearing on Monday to get public comment on three measures. Bill 407, introduced by Senator Dennis Rodriguez Jr., would require individuals who are found to be recklessly driving to take a defensive driving program.
Bill 412 seeks to allow volunteers to patrol school campuses during non-school hours. Bill 409 seeks to impose penalties for those who commit acts of violence against an unborn child.
The public hearing is scheduled for 8:30 Monday morning in the Legislative Public Hearing Room.
