Guam – A 37 year old Piti man was arrested for allegedly tampering with his power meter. John Wayne Ignacio Siguenza was taken into police custody after the Guam Power Authority representatives discovered wires connected to a meter box at his residence. According to court documents, the power was disconnected from the residence in November 2010.  Occupants of the home told police they lived on the property for several years. Documents state a woman living on the property told authorities the power had been disconnected last year. The woman indicated she got a notice of tampering and a fine that she was working to pay off.  Siguenza denied reconnecting the power, however court documents state his daughter informed police she witnessed him touching the meter and reconnecting the power just after the New Year. He was charged with theft of utilities as a 3rd degree felony and theft of services as a 2nd degree felony.
