Education suruhanu duties may remain

Guam - The Department of Education suruhano position may have been eliminated, but the duties may be passed on to Guam Education Board member Barry Mead. "As the governor's appointee as the parent representative, it may be that it becomes one of my functions because there's no one else with that designation the suruhanu was supposed to be someone that parents could go to," he explained.

Mead says the GEB is still looking into the possibilities, but does expect to be the main contact for parents looking for answers when it comes to the department.
